Inge Beckmann will kick off season one of Rolling Stone's new The Story series of live events. And you are invited to this Rolling Stone interview as part of a very select live audience, with one of SA's most recognisable music stars. The hour-long, in-depth interview will be filmed for Rolling Stone SA, and includes an intimate short musical performance. The event will take place at Decodance Pool Lounge, Canterbury Street, Zonnebloem, Cape Town on 19th July 2012.

Book tickets via Webtickets here.

Inge Beckmann is responsible for the angelic, ominous vocals in one South Africa's most famous electro/rock bands, Lark. Lark's second album Razbliuto won a SAMA for Best Alternative Album in 2007. Beckmann is adored by fans of Spindle Sect, Lark, her solo work and now BEAST. Does she think each of her projects has its own following, or have her fans migrated and grown with her? "Spindle Sect and Lark have two very different energies," Beckmann told Channel24. "Although they are both electronic and organic. So I think the following that likes that hybrid migrated with me and grew with me. My experimental solo tracks are more obscure and minimalistic so I might have shed a few die hard electro fans through that."

Recently she formed a new side project called BEAST with Taxi Violence members Rian Zietsman and Louis Nel and Sasha Righini of The Plastics.

Beckmann has also collaborated with Die Heuwels Fantasties, Bittereinder and recently with Francois van Coke on a theme song to an Afrikaans horror comedy, Bloedsuiers
