Cape Town folk-rocker, Joshua Grierson, was en route to Oppikoppi when he stopped off at the Puma Real Music Wednesdays at the Bioscope this week.
Grierson wasted no time in working his considerable charm on the audience, armed with his guitar, and powerful music reminiscent of Johnny Cash and even Springsteen at times. Beautifully written songs - both slow and fired-up – came thick and fast, all delivered with Grierson's trademark intensity and revealing his soulful approach.
Highlights included "We Are All Broken" off Grierson's upcoming record Strange Heart which is finally due for release in the coming months, says the artist.
