Puddle of Mudd frontman Wes Scantlin has been arrested in Texas and charged with public intoxication after authorities pulled him off an airplane, The Associated Press reports. Scantlin was detained after a JetBlue flight requested an emergency landing in Austin, citing a disturbance caused by an uncontrollable passenger. The plane was flying from Boston to Los Angeles.

Scantlin's public intoxication charge is a class C misdemeanor – a minor offense similar to a parking citation, and less serious than his previous encounter with the law: The singer was arrested in January and charged in April for felony cocaine possession. He pleaded guilty in July.
