Internationally acclaimed rapper Kanye West is confirmed to play in Johannesburg for one night only in February 2013, Channel 24 reported this morning.

The Castle Lite sponsored event is scheduled to take place on the 2nd of February at an undisclosed venue, the same date as the Red Hot Chili Peppers' concert at the Soccer City Complex, FNB Stadium in Johannesburg.

The majority of fans on Castle Lite's Facebook Fanpage praised the brand for bringing West to South Africa. However, some Red Hot Chili Peppers and Kayne West fans have also expressed their disgust due to that fact that they would off liked to attend both acts.

Limited tickets are expected to go on sale at Computicket from 28 September, priced from R650 for a standard ticket to R1 000 for limited golden circle tickets.
