Durbanite Julian Redpath is unlike any other singer-songwriter – unless you compare him to the likes of Conor Oberst or José González.

On a cold winter’s night, the Bioscope in the Maboneng precinct lit up with the tender sounds of Redpath’s delicate voice and the quiet strum of his guitar – nearly silencing the audience with one of the most intimate performances in the Puma Social Real Music Wednesday series to date.

With a setlist comprising all original material, Redpath left those in the audience wanting more – at least in the form of a full-length record. For now fans have to make do with an already released EP, Shipwrecks and wait out for a full album from this timeless artist.
