South Africa’s first ever Rolling Stone Weekend takes place this weekend, September 14-15, 2012 at The Mercury and Shack Complex in Zonnebloem, Cape Town. The event features 10 of the most highly-recommended young artists and bands on the Cape Town scene, as earmarked by several venues, promoters and booking agents in the city.
These ten acts are to be supported by higher-profile attractions rising rap star Youngsta and twice SAMA-nominated Willim Welsyn en die Sunrise Toffies.
The event is hosted by radio raconteur and comedian Paul Snodgrass, and will feature a number of extra dj attractions as well. Over the past six weeks, Rolling Stone carried online Q&As with all the young artists, produced by the Rolling
Stone Young Reporters programme. Below is the full day lineup:
