On Thursday, Rolling Stone met up with Kings Of Chaos bassist Duff McKagan at a press conference in Goodwood.

McKagan talked about meeting his heroes – Jimmy Page, Iggy Pop, Brian May and Jeff Beck – and elaborated on his latest project, Walking Papers, whose self-titled debut album will be out in August. “It’s special, it has all the elements of … everything that’s fucking cool in rock ‘n’ roll,” he said, adding that Pearl Jam’s Mike McCready also recorded with Walking Papers. “He’s one of the guys, if Mike wasn’t playing some gigs with Pearl Jam, he could’ve very well been here with us. He’s one of the fellows. I’ve known Mike since we were twelve.”

McKagan also spoke about how cool it is to do the Kings Of Chaos tour: “This will be one of those times I look back and go ‘Fuck! I went to South Africa with all these great guys.'” As well as mentioning that he went to business school and he talks about his stint on the reality TV show, Married To Rock.
