Boy band announce release date for new album, ‘Midnight Memories’
One Direction’s new album, Midnight Memories, will be released on November 25th, member Harry Styles tweeted over the weekend, adding, “I think you’ll like it.”
The six-second teaser clip below shows the album’s title written out, one letter at a time, on pieces of paper scattered on the ground. Midnight Memories will come almost exactly a year after the release of the boy band’s chart topping second LP, Take Me Home.
This July, One Direction released the new LP’s first single, “Best Song Ever” – which bears a passing resemblance to the Who’s “Baba O’Riley,” along with a particularly goofy music video.
The boy-band also recently saw the release of their backstage concert documentary, One Direction: This Is Us, which was directed by Morgan Spurlock and scored big at the box office its opening week.
The obvious trend these days with chart-topping pop stars releasing a new album is the world tour and quick a stop-over in Africa – this happened with Lady Gaga’s Born This Way and Justin Bieber’s Never Say Never. We’re predicting that Big Concerts will announce the boy-band’s South African dates soon anything from between November 2013 and February 2014. Let’s see.
