Lostprophets frontman Ian Watkins [36] has pleaded guilty on Tuesday to the attempted rape of a fan’s 11-month-old baby son and a string of other child sex offences, the Daily Mail reports.
The UK rock singer changed his plea at the start of his trial this afternoon at the Cardiff Crown Court in Wales, but claimed he could not remember the ‘depraved’ abuse because he was high on crystal meth. He pleaded guilty to 11 charges including two of attempted baby rape and others involving possessing and making images of sexual abuse and conspiracy to rape.
Watkins will remain in custody and is due to be sentenced in December 2013.
The singer co-founded Lostprophets in 1997. The band has released five albums, including their most recent, Weapons, which came out last year.
