UK-born director, Ryan Kruger, (Enigma Ace Films) recently shot Jack Parow and PHFat’s music video for “Spring Moederfokker”.

The three rappers find themselves in a mental asylum and are given their medication by a nurse (Playboy’s Yolandi Malherbe). As soon as the beat jumps in they are transported into their own bizarre realities. Prostate-checks, dangerously sexy nurse outfits, long caps and badass raps are what it’s all about.

Kruger told Rolling Stone he wanted to create SA’s first real white-rap video, “I wanted to bring Parow’s persona as a rapper to the forefront and the whole video is filled with so much energy is hard not to nod your head to the beat”. “I’m also a big fan of P.H. Fat and this video was my passion project”, said Kruger.

From a visual point of view Kruger, along with director of photography, Faheema Hendricks, made use of the RED Epic camera, played around with fish-eye lenses and wanted to go for a Beastie Boys-style look. “I don’t think there’s anything like this video out there at the moment. We shot the whole video in an incredible 12 hours. There were 15 scenes and we only had Jack Parow from 08:00 till 13:00. I can only thank my stars that we had such an amazing crew on set. It felt impossible to pull off, but we did it”, Hendricks told Rolling Stone.
