Rolling Stone met up with vocalist Jesse Leach and guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz of the metal core band Killswitch Engage at RAMfest, Cape Town.

We riffed about metal’s place within pop- and celebrity culture, how they experienced the Grammy’s, Adam’s funny onstage antics, what they’re currently reading and why they got into metal in the first place.

“For me it was the lyrics, you know? I had something to say, whether it was political or just about social awareness or whatever. Between hardcore punk and metal…definitely the words and the passion behind it,” said Jesse.

We also got treated with a few priceless quotes from Adam, like: “My tits have never been bigger.”
